Hey! As time passed by, we really liked the user interface for our ATEM Television Studio which we use together with vMix, and we wanted to make a similar control panel for vMix! Demonstration VideoBuy it at our webshop!Cheers, Håvard Njastad Webshop

Looks good! What if you have more than 28 inputs? Are the buttons configurable to use only the inputs we want, like lower thirds just on the 'overlay' bus etc.? Or only the first 28 inputs are operational in the order they appear in vMix?

Ice Hi! The 28 inputs are the first 28 inputs in vMix, there was another row, but we could not think of a situation where we would use more than 28 inputs :) We might update it so that if you go over 28, the third row appears. Thanks for the feedback! Sondre Developer @ Shop.njastad.com

@ Thremir & Sondrey
To be honest, I don't think I would "need" access to more than 20 inputs on the actual 'Program' bus, (I try to limit it to 10 as it is using the Number Keypad 0-9) but I could easily have in excess of 50 inputs in my set-up, many of which are graphics, lower thirds and/or elements used in compositing FX, so it would be nice to be able configure the 'Control Panel' accordingly. I typically would not need the 'same' inputs on the 'Overlay' Bus as are on the 'Program' and 'Preview' busses. That is currently the one thing I do not like about the built-in web interface, every input is there and that is just too many buttons taking up unnecessary space... Certainly TheCloudMesiaGroup's "vDesk" application for iPad appears to have streamlined the interface, but I am not sure if their product is any more 'configurable' than yours and besides, I don't have an iPad.
As much as I like the convenience and portability of tablets and touch screen options, the biggest downside is the lack of 'tactile' feel, but hey, if it works and is cheaper than a hardware surface, I'll likely go that route first.

Hi!
Would it be a solution for you if you named all your graphics "GFX_[Name]" and then they would show up in the order they appeard in? Like if you had 4 inputs ->
"GFX_LowerThird" "Video1" "Camera2" "GFX_Logo"
then the overlay row would be;
1 : "GFX_LowerThird" 2 : "GFX_Logo"
This is pretty much the only way i can separate what's GFX and whats ordinary inputs

If that was the only way to do it, then I would accommodate the practice...
A best case scenario would be by allocating according to vMix 'Category' (colour folders in vMix), that way, all inputs in that category could be placed accordingly.

Ice I hardly see a setup where more than 15 inputs are used...but in my case with vMix, I put all my video clips in a seperate folder, and add it to vMix as a 'List', and have a hot key to scroll in the 'Preview' window before committing to 'Output'......I do the same with some 'Lower thirds', since I usually make then in 'Fireworks' or 'Photoshop', and use them the same way

@ Bardos
I agree wholeheartedly and in fact I use a lot of those same 'folder' and 'list' practices. As alluded to in my previous posts, I think having 8 to 16 buttons on the 'Program' bus is the most manageable solution (perhaps why the vMixGO Hardware Control Surface and vDesk settled on 12 buttons). My main concern is being able to configure the controller or at least route the inputs I need to the buttons I want, especially the 'Overlay' bus, which as far as I am concerned could also work as a 'multi-function' bus. One of my "TESTING" presets has 75 inputs, undoubtedly, they would never all be used in one production, but the point is, the 16 to 20 I would "need" are never the same and certainly wouldn't be a part of the same sequential series of inputs in the preset, whether 12, 20 or in this NjastadCom case 28. All-in-all though, it's great to see some of these new developments with vMix.

What would be nice, is a version where the input buttons are added as I add inputs, the way it is done in Vidblaster, VJDirector2, and similar programs, rather than having all those buttons taking up desktop real estate.....this to me would be a much better design....just adding buttons as the user adds inputs...
