Looking forward to the Scripting macros. What we need is physical keyboard shortcuts in some way for the web interface. For both the "Switcher" page and the "macros" page in some combined way. Now we have the "slo-mo operator" using the Vmix PC. We need a way for the TD to run the switcher with physical keys and these new macros, from something like an X-Keys, on another cheap web-browser PC or even Android tablet. Touchscreen functionality is great, we just need real buttons to press. Midi support in a way like this would be great start: http://forums.vmix.com.au/default.aspx?g=posts&t=1779Thanks Steve

Hi Guys,
As mentioned this is not a thread for feature requests, vMix 16 is already a lock. I have moved the feature requests posts to the relevant threads in Feature Requests.
Thanks,
Martin vMix

When a beta will be available to download? I can not wait to try it, especially for ASIO support with a mixer Presonus FireStudio Project. Thanks for your work.

Some exciting news on two additional features coming to vMix 16!
* MIDI support! This has been a strong feature request, so it is going to be integrated into shortcuts for buttons and faders in the first release and expanded later to support feedback such as light indicators and motorized faders on supported hardware.
* Merge Transition For example if you have a camera fullscreen in Preview and in a double box multiview on Output, clicking the Merge transition button will Pan and Zoom the inputs position automatically to the new multiview position.
You really have to see it to believe it, so we'll post a demo video soon.
Regards,
Martin vMix

Very cool feature Martin!
Is there also an appropriate shortcut function key that will be assigned for this specific transition?

Oh whow! Both features are wonderful news - thanks :)
Looking at the demo Merge seems to do a pan, zoom, and dissolve. Will it be possible to not include the dissolve part?

I also agree with Richard on the 'Fade' (it distracts somewhat from the overall 'zoom' effect, but it's not a deal breaker). The other question I have is does it matter which 'layer' or overlay channel is being "merged" to? I see this as being a very useful effects tool for Skype calls and/or multiple person panel discussions, will it work equally well for all channels or inputs?

It merges matching inputs in the Preview and Output and then dissolves the rest. This is important because some unique layers will be on the of others, so you won't see the merge unless they are dissolved while the matching inputs are merged.

Sorry about that, due to the decision to add MIDI support in this release, it is going to take just a little bit longer for the first beta!
