Good day Martin, good job as always and all the best as you and your team go forwarding with vMix Can you please add in vMix support for Davinci Resolve, adding the required formats and codecs? The NLEs is really nice to work with and feature pack, but current vMix MP4, AVI, WMV, Mpeg is not recognizable to Davinci Resolve. Davinci is very specific as to which formats and codecs it supports. For Windows, this is the list: DPX Cineon Tiff OpenEXR CinemaDNG Alexa Arri Canon EOS C300 Phantom cine RED r3d Mpeg 4 Video mov H.264 Uncomp RGB QT mov RGB 8 Bit mov BGRA 8 Bit mov ARGB 8 Bit mov RGB 10 Bit Uncomp YUV QT mov UYVY 8 Bit mov UYVY 10 Bit Uncomp YUV MXF mxf UYVY 8 Bit Uncomp YUV MXF mxf UYVY 10 Bit Uncomp RGB MXF mxf 1080i & 1080p 10 Bit Apple ProRes 4444 mov Apple ProRes 422 mov Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) mov Apple ProRes 422 mov Apple ProRes 422 (LT ) mov Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy) DNxHD mxf http://www.indietalk.com/showthread.php?t=44707

Hi ! use Cineform HD codec for now in AVI container. http://shop.gopro.com/so...studio/GoPro-Studio.htmlit´s free. Resolve plays it on windows. Let´s wait until Martin gets MXF recording into Vmix to get full crossplatform compatibility windows/osx Cheers, PFBM

I too would like just 1 video format that Vmix outputs that will work with Da Vinci. Nothing I have tried seems to work. Any ideas on how to achieve this out there?

Have you tried recording in vMix AVI and converting it to ProRes with the vMix Media Converter?

vMix already lets you add your own codecs and options for recording. Any codec supported by FFMPEG can work. Just add your own presets to the ffmpegformats.xml file.
It's also possible to use any software or hardware recorder in combination with vMix, either using the External outputs or the NDI protocol or the HDMI out.

We do corporate video production, quite often 3-4hour records re-encoding all the recordings would take lots of logistics and time that we would prefer not to spend.
Would be amazing to be able to edit vMix AVI directly in Resolve (really wanting to get away from always crashing premiere pro)
Thanks as always for the amazing work with vMix

@PFBM Do you know if you loose power on the PC or some other show killing moment happens will the Cineform codec be corupt? vMix AVI's main feature for me is it does not corrupt if interrupted (or is recoverable) Originally Posted by: PFBM Hi ! use Cineform HD codec for now in AVI container. http://shop.gopro.com/so...studio/GoPro-Studio.htmlit´s free.
