Yep - we just bought one.
Seems you can't run HDMI simultaneously to SDI inputs.
But 4 SDI works fine...

I think you can. The HDMI-input is the same as SDI-1, I have read. Let me know if it does not work, since I am curious about how well Aja IO 4K works with vMix.. Btw, can you use four SDI-input and use external out from vMix to the aja 4K SDI-out? j1mco wrote:Yep - we just bought one.

We did set HDMI as the input 1 and cameras to the other 3. The HDMI input was a 1080p60 feed from a PC. However, this seemed to disable all other SDI inputs in vmix, and reported "in use" when we tried to add the inputs.
The HDMI, despite being a 1080p60 feed showed in control panel that it was UHD (i guess taking up all bandwidth for the other SDI channels).
We'll try again, but we definitely couldn't get it working the first time we tried.
We'll try the output too and report back - but according to specification, I don't think this will work... it's all very vague!

Can you i.e have three inputs and one output? I am considering the Aja IO 4K. Hi Guys,
The Io 4K is extremely flexible in the way the inputs and outputs can be used.
I hope the following points help clarify a few things:
* The Io 4K has 4 HD channels available (1,2,3 and 4), these are all combined together when using 4K (UHD) sources.
* HDMI output can be used with channel 1 only
* Either channel 1 or channel 2 can be used for HDMI input
* When using HDMI from a PC, you may need to reboot the Io4K after changing screen resolution
* Make sure the latest version of vMix 15 is installed and also the latest Io4K drivers from the AJA web site.
* 3 inputs and 1 output is possible. With vMix 4K and Pro you can run it with 2 inputs and 2 outputs if needed.

I am currently using one 4K IO with a Thunderbolt 2 equipped laptop. Moving forward, I'd like to ingest 5 robocams with 720/59.94 outputs and maybe a PC for graphics. At the same, I'd like to output to a projector and a recorder, making a total of 6 inputs and 2 outputs. With the cameras taking about 1.5 gbps each and the outputs the same, would two 4 IO's work (considering the approximate total of 14 gbps and Thunderbolt 2's 20gbps bandwidth limitation)? Also, with that many inputs, should I now be worried about taxing my CPU or is the ingestion all GPU processed (I have a 6gb GPU installed).
