Hi All,
I am new to this and can't find a guide on how to cut and paste videos. I shot a podcast and reshot the ending. All I need to do now is put the new ending in place of the original. I have both of the vids on the screen and played with the fade control but I don't know how to add one to the other or how to save the working project.
Any ideas? Thanks, sh

Well, vMix is not the best solution for that. In theory you could: - load your two recordings into two different video inputs - cue each one to where you want to start playing - click "Cut" on the first video to get it into Output - Start recorder and immediately start plaing the first video - when first video ends, cut/fade to the second video and play it - when second video ends, stop recording (some of the above could be automated with shortcuts and autostarts) But you would be much better of with any video editor - lots of free ones. Or a dedicated video splitter, such as http://applian.com/replay-media-splitter/Good luck!

Thanks! I didn't see anything like that in the vMix help manual. For all I need here that would actually work fine but a dedicated program seems like a good idea for the future. The Windows Movie Maker is well regarded.
I am a little surprised, after re-watching the YouTube vid, that there isn't a good way to intersperse the input options. In this case, I'm just lopping the end of one and grafting on the other in its place. If I wanted to add PowerPoints or music or whatever else, some drag-and-drop would be handy.
Cheers and good luck on your projects, sh
