I recently install a NVIDIA RTX A1000 since I was experiencing GPU overload errors with the integrated Intel UHD 770 graphics. The Intel did fine with 720p59.94 productions, but we recently changed to 1080p59.94.

The GPU is in a Dell Precision 3260 Compact worstation with an Intel i7-13700 CPU and 32 GB of DDR5 RAM. It's running Windows 11 Pro and vMix 29.0.0.49.

According to vMix, it's not dropping any frames and render times are consistently under 10ms, but I'm still experiencing screen tearing on the outputs, especially when playing back instant replays. I've tried all of the tips listed in the "Optimising Performance" knowledge base article, and various combinations of settings, but the tearing stubbornly remains. I've tried both the Production and New Feature drivers. I've tried turning on vsync in the NVIDIA Control Panel. I even tried the "Synchronise Output with Refresh Rate" setting in the vMix Advanced Setting, but nothing works.

I'm wondering if anyone else has run across this problem and was able to resolve it.

Interesting, the Intel graphics originally had a tearing problem too, but a driver update resolved that, so it might just be that the NVIDIA drivers are buggy.

Can you post a screenshot of what the tearing looks like?

Basically regardless of any GPU issues, tearing should be basically impossible on all systems going back to Windows 8, so I suspect this might be interlaced artifacts in which case making sure the
format of the source is properly set should resolve it.

Hi,

Do you use a second M.2 SSD dedicated to replay, in addition to the one used for Windows/VMix?

How are the inputs captured?

Do not use the DP ports on the motherboard, only nvidia RTX A1000

Perhaps the video cables are faulty

You may also need to update the BIOS
