Hello everybody

I'm looking some refurbished workstations to replace the previous one that died due to a storm.
I've 5 FullHD Panasonic PTZ cameras that are H.264 inputs currently but I'm planning to move to NDI, 2 SDI inputs on a Blackmagic pci-express card, 1 broadcast audio input USB card and I use some videos to play as opening and closing of the streaming. I stream to 2 different destinations with different qualities. The workflow is simply a streaming that I open/close with a video and switch the cameras.
What minimum configuration do you recommend? I'm looking for refurbished workstations so keep in mind that maybe I won't find 5000 series NVIDIA cards but older series, same with the CPU.

Hi,
For your needs, a desktop PC is sufficient

If no recording is required, a Z390 system will do the job :

MB = ASRock Z390 Taichi or MSI MEG Z390 Ace
CPU = i9-9900K
DDR4 = 32 GB DDR4-2666
SSD = M.2 pcie 3.0 x4 for windows/vmix
GPU = RTX 3060 12 Gb or higher
NDI + STREAM = Intel X550-T2 pcie x4 card
SDI = Blackmagic pcie x4 card


if use rec, Z590 system :

MB = Asus rog strix Z590 A-gaming or Asus prime Z590-A
CPU = i7-11700K or i9-11900K
DDR4 = 32 GB DDR4-3200
SSD = M.2 pcie 3.0 x4 for windows/vmix (in M.2_3 port)
GPU = RTX 3060 12 Gb or higher (RTX 4070 Ti 12 Gb is best choice because it has two NVENC encoders)
SSD = M.2 pcie 4.0 x4 for rec (in M.2_1 port/ Samsung 990 Pro)
NDI + STREAM = Intel X550-T2 pcie x4 card
SDI = Blackmagic pcie x4 card
