Good day, and Happy Holidays to everyone —

I’m hoping someone can clarify whether it’s possible to append a Title.gtzip input from one vMix project into another while keeping the Data Source assignments intact. When I append a Title.gtzip from a different project, the Title Editor’s Data Source field resets to None, even though the same Data Source is fully configured in both projects.

This becomes a real challenge because many of our Title.gtzip files contain 200+ individual data bindings. Reassigning each one manually is doable, but extremely time‑consuming, and it makes sharing Title.gtzip assets between projects far less practical. If anyone has insight, a workaround, or can confirm whether this is expected behavior, I’d greatly appreciate the guidance.

Best regards,
Carl

The "Append" feature allows you to bring the Input over, but none of its settings (which includes Data Source mappings):
- https://www.vmix.com/help29/OpenPreset.html

You would be best to open the Preset itself and then modify it appropriately for your current project (or "Append" it and remap the Data Sources).

@IceStream

Following up on this — I got it working in the end, and since I'm exploring more modular ways of building show parts, I wanted to share the order that worked for me and ask whether there's a better route.

What worked: keep the project that holds the configured Title.gtzip as the base, save the current session as a bundle, and then Append the remaining inputs (videos, etc.) on top. The Data Sources stay intact that way, because they live in the base session — the appended inputs lose their settings, but videos have nothing to lose there anyway.

Two things that confused me at first: Open just closes and replaces the current session, so there's no direct merge, and the Append button only became usable for me after I'd saved the session as a bundle.

Since I'm trying to build shows modularly (base material, then sport-specific parts, then on-site inputs appended on top), I'd like to know: is there another way to do this, or is base + bundle + Append basically the path?
