Since version 14 offers the ability to stream with ffmpeg x.264, wouldn't it be possible to also add a recording option with ffmpeg?

So, with v14 and FFMPEG the stream is x.264? (the settings óptions for FFMPEG still list as "h.264").

I think it is x.264, just look at the release notes:

"New FFMPEG based streaming support. Provides built in x264 / AAC streaming up to Ultra HD"

Yeah, perhaps then Martin should change the wording in the Streamer's setting options for FFMPEG...

The streaming video format is always h264
x.264 is the name of the particular library used by FFMPEG, but it still outputs h264 just like FMLE.

Wasn't there some kind of a licensing problem with x.264 that prevented you from including it?

I can use it as long as FFMPEG is a separate application that runs separately to vMix.
