AVKANS 30x NDI camera and PTZ

Greetings!
We just added another camera to our church, an AVKANS 30x NDI PTZ Camera. It was rated high with the NDI folks, and on Amazon. But we have a problem...
After setting up the camera and exposure settings, I loaded vMix and added the camera as I normally do, as an NDI camera. So far, so good. I then switched to the PTZ settings to connect to the camera's PTZ features, so we can setup inputs with different camera angles, like we have with our other cameras.
I always try, by default, to connect with the PTZ Optics option as it works with our other cameras, two of which are PTZ Optics and one that is an off brand. The first time did it this way, the camera connected right up and I was able to setup a couple of inputs...before PTZ control just froze. And I don't mean it froze in vMix, which it did, but I lost PTZ control everywhere, the joystick, and the camera's web UI.
I did a hard reboot of the camera (shut off POE power from the camera) and rebooted. PTZ worked again with the web UI, but as soon as i loaded up vMix, once again PTZ froze everywhere.
I even tried different PTZ connection options but none of them worked (they wouldn't even connect).
Anyone else have issues like this? I sent our first camera back and replaced it with the same model, thinking there was something wrong with the camera, but the new one is exactly the same.

The problem I suspect is highlighted, use Sony Visca over IP for your PTZ connection. That's what we use with our two AKVANS 20x NDI PTZ cameras and our OSBOT Tail Air and it works just fine with those cameras. We also have two old Sony Camcorders, their PTZ is the camera operator. Note: In the camera configuration web page (http://<camera IP addresss>) on the "Control Protocol Config" tab we have the "Visca Transmission" Enabled using "Connection Protocol" UDP, "Work Mode" is Server and "Port" is 1259.

Thanks for reply. I did attempt that because, like you, we do have another camera that isn't PTZOptics. But Sony Visca over IP wouldn't even connect.
Ultimately, we tried a replacement camera, same brand/model, and the same issues occurred. We then switched to a different brand and the problem has been resolved. The developer in China who I was talking to concerning the first camera said that it might be something in the firmware of the camera that he needs to look into.
But, problem fixed now with the new camera.

Well, I've been looking for PTZ cameras with NDI included, however, it's no longer possible to configure them in Amazon listings. Some companies or sellers use the ruse of paying for reviews, and desperate content creators with basic audiovisual production knowledge recommend anything, as long as they get something for free. The camera: AVKANS NDI PTZ Camera - 30X Auto Tracking Live Streaming Cam with SDI/HDMI/IP Outputs for Church Worship School Sport Hospital Wedding (NDI HX2 and NDI HX3). It's causing too many problems. It supposedly comes with NDI, but either it turns out to be a webcam or it simply doesn't connect to NDI via VMIX. We then looked for the FoMako 30x with NDI, which is also very well marked on Amazon: it turns out to be crap. Here's a YouTube video: At minute 6:28, you can see that the NDI on that camera seems to be the quality of a low-quality webcam. So it's better to continue relying on AIDA PTZ cameras or the BirdDOG P100 PTZ cameras. Be careful when purchasing cameras that say NDI is included, because sometimes they aren't. Or they simply aren't suitable for professional broadcasts. And you shouldn't trust Amazon reviews.

We ended up getting:
FoMaKo NDI PTZ Camera,30X Optical Zoom, AI Auto-Tracking Gen 3, HDMI PTZ Camera for Church Worship Live Services Education Events PoE(Official NDI 6 & NDI HX3 Certified)(KN30A Pro) Black
And it is a very nice camera. It has more settings for exposure than I know what to do with, NDI works flawlessly, and to issues with PTZ control through vMix.
Most of our cameras are PTZ Optics, but in a pinch and when money's tight, this one does fine just as well.
