What would be a simple way to get SDI to OMT? I tested with OBS and that seems to be working with a bit of latency. Would love to get 4 SDI feeds with a Blackmagic Quad 2 card similar to Viz Connect Pro app. (Just not $995)

The most cheap solution is vmix basic hd 29 that accepts 4 inputs. Then you insert your 4 sdi inputs and enable cameras omt option and for 60$ you have 4 sdi to omt feeds in your lan and 1 output.

The idea is that there would be a PC at the back of a venue that could take in 3-4 SDI cameras and send them over the network. To do it with vMix would be the $700 4K to get 4 Outputs. Testing a bit of "Vibe coding" with ChatGPT to get something like this working well:

You dont need 4 outputs version for 4 raw camera "outputs". As cameras/audio/calls can be output omt/ndi a clean feed indepedent per camera. So the cheap version can give you clean camera feeds, even if the output pgm is limited to 1

To be clear, they're talking about this setting: Though I'm not sure how much better it'd perform than OBS.

My personal opinion is that for decklink cards, vmix is better. Also the omt plugin for obs need update in order to work like a filter also. Ndi obs plugin has the filter "ndi dedicated output" so we can ndi out any source or camera. Omt I don't see this option so if we need to output 4 independent sdi sources, for now i don't see this option.
