SRT audio issues - very strange

I set up vmix to receive SRT, as a caller. I'm using a 10-900x with vmix 28. I got this weird audio issue.
I assume it was internet, even though video was fine. I tested using 3 ISPs, 2 different firewalls. Same results. So not internet.
I tested on another PC 10-900x, same issue.
Tested on a laptop, it's i7 11-800H with vmix 26, same issue.
I had a friend test from another location on their laptop using vmix 24, works fine.
So then I installed SRT miniserver on my computer, that also works fine.
So everything points to vmix.
The feed I'm getting is H.264/50p @ 12mbps with stereo AAC.
My work around is to decode SRT in SRTMiniserver and tranmux to NDI in to vmix.

So your saying it doesn't work with vmix 28 and 26 but does with 24 on a different machine and miniserver on your machine? What exactly is the problem you are having with audio? That might help a little more even though it works on your system with a different app. Does it work on your buddy system with avmix 26 or 28 or on your laptop at a different location? What about your system but with vmix 24? If you can explain the audio issue i could help with some better ideas to help narrow it down some. The audio issue was an intermittent drop, but very regular. Like it was a buffer issue, but like i said, video was solid. And latency adjustments made no difference.
