Hello all,

Long time vMix user - first time poster =)

Ive purchased a P8 Lenovo desktop thats running an NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada video card - i was hoping this GPU was enough horsepower to run my mixes as i run a lot of overlays, PiP, video playback and NDI inputs.
Running it for the fist time this week and im looking at +50% on the GPU Mem.. any thoughts as to why this consumption is so great?

Appreciate any input y'all have to share!

vMix report
EX FPS: 30
Render Time: ~10ms (avg)
GPU Mem: 50%-57% (avg)
CPU Mem: 1%
CPU vMix: 1%
Total: 2%

Computer spec
Lenovo P8
AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO
128GB RAM
2TB Storage
NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada

Task Manger Process
vmix
1.5% CPU
800MB Memory

are you using resizable bar? if so ignore this number and carry on. also check in vmix performance settings to make sure you are using the nvidia, and not the onboard gpu.
thanks 1 user thanked AudioGreg for this useful post.

Thanks AudioGreg =)

the system was set to the nvidia card - but i selected High Input Performace mode and it dropped the GPU Mem to ~14%
Ill give it the gears later this afternoon to see how it behaves.
