The core problem is only having 4 outputs on vMix (not enough). For our workflow allowing to send an input to vmix callers would free up 1 to 2 outputs.

Part of the reason we burn through outputs is using an output to do an ISO record of a caller due to the fact that recording callers in the MultiCorder does not work well as it creates many different files for a single record session.

Having the ability to choose an input as a return to a vMix caller would prove invaluable.

Return video using a vmix output is really frustrating.

Most useful would be inputs directly to return video, low res or NDI feeds would be of great help.
Even a static image as a return image would be helpful, to re-assure the caller that they're on the right call because None is not helpful for the caller even if there is audio.
