I have been using vMix HD version 26.0.0.44 on my Dell i7 8650 with 1TB SSD HD, 16GB DDR4 memory for over a year without problems.
I typically have 4 Elgato HD60 external video capture devices connected. One is receiving "Easy Worship" from another computer and the other three have PTZ cameras connected.
I upgraded to the 4K version for the ISO / Multicorder function. It has worked fine for around 3 months and I upgraded to version 28. Unfortunately this version needs more resources than the computer has available. I removed it and re-installed version 26.0.0.44.
I can open a preset that does not include cameras and it will work fine but if I attempt to add a camera I get the following message:
“Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.”
The options to "Send Error Message" or "Cancel" are provided in the error box. However, both options will close vMix.
I have ran Windows Memory Trouble shooter and a hard disk tester to check for memory problems but non were found.
I tried connecting only one video capture device and still received the same error message. The internal webcam does load correctly.
