For example: 1080x1908

First of all, you want Feature Requests.

Second of all, when you post in feature requests, make sure you include a "Why", because I can't think of any reason for this. Broadcast resolutions are fairly standardized at this point.

For custom resolutions, I prefer an Analogway Ascender or Aquilon device as you most often need custom resolutions for LED walls or multiscreen projects.

But I have used vMix in the past to playout stuff in custom areas of interest when I had nothing but a vmix machine on the job to playout to an LED wall. It was a little bit time consuming and complicated because I had to built custom testpatterns and move the content to the correct position, but it worked well.

But never try this with live input like cameras or similar, the latency is very high because vmix is really not made for that.

As Robert mentioned, latency may be unideal if this if for a live event contextual usecase. I've ran Resolume in tandem with vMix in some capacity to map irregular formats that aren't broadcast friendly. Scaling will still be a possible issue for you though, as you're veering away from 16:9.

Hi hi!

I was wondering if there has been any updates to this Topic?
We are currently running VMix for a hybrid event and we are also casting to a LED wall that carries a custom resolution of 3072x1728.
Our ideal set up would have been to have an output from our Graphics card (the wall is connected with HDMI) to reduce the latency as much a possible.
However we don't have the option to give out the custom resolution for the second monitor as it is stuck to the "Standard" resolutions.

The way we are running it now is that we are giving the signal to a second computer via HDMI to USB and running OBS, which then streams to the videowall via HDMI.

It would be nice if we can get everything out of one computer so that we have a minimum of latency and no unnecessary secondary devices.

If you do this, you just output 4K and select the upper left corner of the image. But it's not very professional as you should never use the fullscreen outputs of vmix for things like that. you should consider using an ultrastudio 4k output or decklink 4k via SDI or HDMI as it is more stable than using a windows screen that gets dimmed or black at several occasions like the "run as admin" window. You should only use fullscreen output for the operator's table use.

Best thing is still to use an aquilon, an ascender, an Barco E2 or similar.
