First of all, you want Feature Requests.

Second of all, when you post in feature requests, make sure you include a "Why", because I can't think of any reason for this. Broadcast resolutions are fairly standardized at this point.

For custom resolutions, I prefer an Analogway Ascender or Aquilon device as you most often need custom resolutions for LED walls or multiscreen projects.

But I have used vMix in the past to playout stuff in custom areas of interest when I had nothing but a vmix machine on the job to playout to an LED wall. It was a little bit time consuming and complicated because I had to built custom testpatterns and move the content to the correct position, but it worked well.

But never try this with live input like cameras or similar, the latency is very high because vmix is really not made for that.

As Robert mentioned, latency may be unideal if this if for a live event contextual usecase. I've ran Resolume in tandem with vMix in some capacity to map irregular formats that aren't broadcast friendly. Scaling will still be a possible issue for you though, as you're veering away from 16:9.
