I have the following problem. We use vMix and want to show a video on the speaker's laptop. The video including sound should then be streamed with vMix via Zoom. The laptop is connected via HDMI to a Birddog Mini, which we have as NDI input in vMix. The video signal is captured without any problems, but no sound is transmitted. The Birddog mini is selected as the audio output on the speaker's laptop. Does anyone have any advice on how we can solve this problem? Is there a setting in vMix that we need to adjust?

Why don't you use vmix call with screen share or use NDI screen capture or vMixDesktop.
I just had an important conference and people shared live coding sessions from their computer via vMixCall. This was working so beautiful. We used even wifi, no cables.
The other solutions require software install that not all presenters like or have the rights for it.

Can you pull up NDI Studio Monitor or OBS and see if audio is received there?

That'll give you an idea as to where in the chain your problem might be.
