I also am interested in the new Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter. Any information would be helpful.

OK So Blackmagic has just come out with a whole bunch of SMPTE 2110 devices and they will do a software upgrade to the 4K Studio cameras so they can output SMPTE 2110.

The best thing about 2110 is every device just plugs into the local network and you can send uncompressed video to and from every device over the network... and you can also get the network switch which has a router panel built in to route video with a few button presses...

And what I think is very good for vMIX productions is you can have 1 single ethernet cable from the Blackmagic studio camera (no converters) to your switch, this sends power, video and audio in each direction, talkback, tally and camera control, all in one cable.. this makes live streams SO much simpler to set up. I know with vMix you can setup channels 15 and 16 for talkback, but i'd really want to see vMIX enable "Tally Out" data from the SDI or 2110 output so when you switch to each camera it lights up the tally light on the Blackmagic camera.

It's a really exiting future with vMix and 2110 specially in facilities... and specially for outside broadcasts or onsite live streams with single cable to camera.
