Has anyone used the new Blackmagic DeckLink IP with vMix? I was hoping to get this card and the 2110 IP Converter to cut down on SDI runs but didn't know if there were any issues with it and vMix. Thanks.

I also am interested in the new Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter. Any information would be helpful.

The best thing about 2110 is every device just plugs into the local network and you can send uncompressed video to and from every device over the network... and you can also get the network switch which has a router panel built in to route video with a few button presses... List of SMTPE 2110 Devices- Decklink 2110 Card (Works with vMIX)
- Network Switch with built in 2110 routing panel
- 4x12G Converter (SDI <-> 2110)
- 8x12G Converter (SDI <-> 2110)
- A heap of other converters
- 1U Rack Mount Audio Speaker / Meter
And what I think is very good for vMIX productions is you can have 1 single ethernet cable from the Blackmagic studio camera (no converters) to your switch, this sends power, video and audio in each direction, talkback, tally and camera control, all in one cable.. this makes live streams SO much simpler to set up. I know with vMix you can setup channels 15 and 16 for talkback, but i'd really want to see vMIX enable "Tally Out" data from the SDI or 2110 output so when you switch to each camera it lights up the tally light on the Blackmagic camera. It's a really exiting future with vMix and 2110 specially in facilities... and specially for outside broadcasts or onsite live streams with single cable to camera. To learn more check the NAB 2024 update on their website. (NOTE: The blackmagic ATEM just can not beat the features available on vMIX so thats why I want to bug vMIX to add tally output).
