+1 companion bridges the gap, but it’s a faf to have to program in a “middle man”. |

                +1
I'd actually like to be able to access the whole API using OSC, but this would be a good first step. The idea of activators is great, but I'm not sure why MIDI was the chosen protocol. There isn't even a standard way of routing MIDI between programs built into Windows, so there was always going to have to be an intermediary, whether it's a virtual MIDI port or something like Isadora.

OSC is the logical improvement on this, as any program that can speak OSC can be reached with the local loopback, and controlling networked devices also becomes much easier.

This is probably more valuable than ever after ZOOM's partnership with Liminal. Martin, can you make this happen?I'm sure Andy would be more than happy to work with you guys to make it work.

Correct, now that I am Zoom's Events Engineering Manager, I am able to speak to integrations paths platform-wide regarding the events space, of which vMix is an important player beyond a doubt. I'm here, if vMix wants to integrate more tightly with Zoom, just let me know :) |

Bumping back up as I found more use cases that would be great to have VMIX send out OSC triggers... |
