Could we get an option to select "NONE" when right clicking an input to assign an NDI source. As it is now, if you mistakenly assign a source to the wrong input you either have to assign another source to it, keep the duplicate sources or delete the input and create a new one. Sometimes we just need to remove the assigned source and leave the input blank.

does this then have to become a transparent input or black ? a running NDI Testpattern tool could give you the latter that would appear in the selections ( a transsparent ndi feed can be made with the NDI SDK)

It would really make sense to just disconnect an input for all sources and make it blank (or Blancke :-) ). I'd prefer the input just go black but honestly wouldn't care if there was just a left over freeze frame. It's better than running unnecessary or duplicate sources.

+1 or better, a Black or None option (the latter meaning transparent).

+1 None means going to black or a picture with ndi logo.
Goal: The input stays an NDI input but doesn't use network bandwidth and processing power anymore.

One use case for us with black specifically is to get something that can be used as a placeholder for Layers in other Inputs. I can imagine other cases where transparent would be preferred. Hence the addition with options for both Black and None/Transparent. And, I guess "Transparent" (as selectable in Colour Inputs) is more specific than "None".

Bringing this back up again. We really need an option to disconnect an NDI source by right clicking an NDI input. Currently if you mistakenly assign an NDI source to the wrong input there is really no way to turn it off. You either have to leave it as a duplicate, assign another existing source to it, or delete it. Deleting it unravels all multiview layers with the deleted input assigned. There is no option to unassign or disconnect.
Please add an option to assign "NONE" as a source.
Thanks,
Greg

Alt. I think you can remove the source in the .vMix file (I haven't tested this) but I think it would then show as offline.
2nd alt. Broadcast a nothing NDI from the test pattern generator or like Zen's NDI router or something.

Thanks. I know there are work arounds like running test pattern but that's not really a solution. It's logical there should be a way to turn off a source on an input.

Granted. That's why my +1 is up there with yours. Just trying to help in the meantime, since it's not likely to be responded to or implemented any time soon. They've got their priorities and our +1's do little to change them IMO.

Agreed Richard. The Black and Alpha option is available already in the vMix software framework. Easy to add to the NDI context menu. No CPU/GPU or network resources required.
