Not sure if this is the right thread or not, so here goes. This morning, I went to update our software from 24.72 to 25.24 or whatever it is as of March 13. Usually the update is fairly painless, but this morning (before church... DOH!) it would not finish updating and took me to the webpage where it seems like it was telling me that I'm only allowed two instances of installing Vmix onto two computers. (I understand that, yes) And it displayed the two machines that we have running. (a laptop and a desktop, both Win10) So I deleted (deactivated) the desktop, and then it continued to allow the installation to proceed ON THE SAME DESKTOP I JUST DEACTIVATED.
What's up with that?
I did not figure this out till after our service when I had time to sit down and figure this out. In the meantime, I had to run home, grab my laptop, and configure the setup connections to allow me to cobble together a presentation for streaming and local viewing. A wee bit of sweating it out in a hurry. Normally updates are pretty painless and quick. Not this morning. And my bad for thinking I could update on a Sunday morning.
Any thoughts? Is it the Jump from 24 to 25 that necessitates the software looking at the registered computer number/motherboard and needing a confirm or something?

@ Steve Morris
Updating to vMix 25 requires being activated on the computer, even if it is already activated to vMix 24, meaning you will need to de-activate one of your current activations if you already have two on your account.

Will subsequent updates for 25.xx be more normal as in the past for updates? Or is this the new normal for any and all updates? Or just when we jump from 25 to 26 and beyond?

@ Steve Morris
Most likely just the "major" version updates, so vMix 25 to vMix 26 will require fresh activations. Minor or "dot" updates to the current version should allow you to update without having to re-activate.

Experiencing freezing and lagging on Pan and Crop sliders in Position settings of a camera input. Sliders lag and freeze, window sometimes closes abruptly.
Behavior is inconsistent, it's happening on some inputs but not on others that are identically configured.

There's also a weird thing happening with the grayed out Zoom slider. I have adjusted Zoom X to 0.422 to correct for vMix's automatic stretching of vertical videos. I understand that adjusting Zoom X and Y would now disable the overall Zoom slider. What I'm seeing is that the number in that box matches the Zoom value on a different input I was editing.
For example, the input is a vertical video, no adjustments are made except Zoom X = 0.422. After editing a different input to have an overall Zoom value of 1.778, the first input's Zoom value (grayed out) now says 1.778. It's not affecting my output, but a confusing inconsistency.

Does anyone know why the Pause and Gear buttons no longer extend all the way to the right edge of the input? I just updated my primary control room PC and noticed this change. Secondary control room has been running 25 for a few weeks and still has normal (flush) spacing for Pause and Gear buttons. Screenshot (48).png (17kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

vMix 25 slightly changed the sizes of some UI elements, particularly the padding around the preview and program areas. I also recall the thumbnails being just a little different

There have been no padding or size changes to the UI. The screenshot looks like you have changed the Input Size in Settings -> Display which when set larger, will extend further than the buttons underneath.

The Output input does not follow the overlay on/off settings.
If by design treat this as a warning

It would be nice to be able to choose for the mini mixes, how to display them in the multiview. I often do multiviews and I would like to be able to see the minimax preview.

Not Sure if this is just in vMix 25 - but the 'define custom colour's' doesn't save he colours when adding input-> colour.
This works when changing the preview and program colours, and the border colours on a layer,

OnCompletion is only going to work on the original input. Virtual inputs are just a "view" of the original input, they offer no playback controls etc (as these would conflict with the original input) and therefore OnCompletion will not work.

Hi, I have tried to use the Http API to change the color of a rectangle, but to no avail. The color is not added to the selected element. The function used is the following: http://127.0.0.1:8088/API/?Function=SetColor&Input=11&Value=#FF0000&SelectedIndex=0 It shows as function sent successfully however in vmix the field is not added, it shows empty. If I am doing it wrong, please show which is the correct way.
