I have a few short videos from youtube I want to cut up and combine with vmix.

I know that most readers here are super pro serious heavy duty users. Many of you edit video with fancy dedicated high powered programs.

I am looking for a very simple and not too complicated video editing program to just clip some videos and sweeten the sound. Camtasia does this just fine in the old days; but, I don't want to spend 250 USD for a one time use.

Any ideas for a solid program to do this. There are many advertised; but, I have never used any of them.

I appreciate any help and recommendations. Simple, solid and not too expensive.

THANK YOU,

Rob

Shotcut

Davinci Resolve by Blackmagic

Hitfilm Express

VideoPad (careful when you install it, do a custom install and don't allow it to install any extra rubbish)

Oh I should say Hitfilm is the best all round.

Videopad is the easiest to use.

Resolve is good for editing, it's not that hard to get started and something you will never grow out of.

If you have a fast gpu the `live' mode, sdi to sdi, can do Godrays, blurs and other effects that may be of interest with vMix.

There's also Premier Elements for $100.

Guys, thank you for the great help. I just had a thought. In addition to cutting a little from the beginning of a video clip I wanted to try to reduce a little background hissing .... many of the programs have something to filter sound and sometimes they even work a bit.... so, can i do this somehow with vMix....

I know about the eq; but, maybe there is something I am missing.

thanks AGAIN,
Rob

For this you can try to use a VST3 plugin.
I can recommend those from Waves which are fantastic

Check X-Noise or Z-Noise or W43 for example

There is a free trial available and if you are happy with one of them, the link below will give you (or anyone else) 10% discount

I used it before, really good software. Now I started using Movavi Screen Recorder 2021. For me, this is the best option, because here I can record my performances and then process them. I can record sounds separately from the screen recording, which is very convenient. In terms of functionality and capabilities, it completely suits me.
