Hi vMix guys and all vMixers out there, I'm using vMix quite a lot, and one feature that I use more often is the "preview overlay"-feature, which is used when right-clicking on a overlay channel (1,2,3,4) for an input. This previews the overlay in the Preview, and this is really handy. However, there is two thing that bothers me. First thing, when a overlay channel is in use, lets say overlay channel 1, and I want a preview of an input, and I accidentally press on the same channel, the current input in overlay 1 will be removed.. Also I miss the ability to go from previewing a overlay to take it into program. The current workflow is: 1) Right click on a overlay channel for previewing the overlay 2) See that it looks fine, and right click again to take it out of preview 3) Left click on the overlay channel to take the input to program on the overlay channel. The wanted workflow is to remove the second step, where you need to right click again to take it out of preview: 1) Right click on a overlay channel for previewing the overlay 2) Left click on the overlay channel to take the input to program on the overlay channel I have also described the wanted changes in a demo video here: That's all for me for this time Thanks Jens Stigaard

Now that sounds like the traditional `look ahead preview' first implemented with the CDL 480. Select a keyer or combination of keys and or background and see the final result on preview and then transition or cut that to air. Very foolproof and makes more complex multi-layer transitions easy.

                Hi Jens (again)
Not exactly what you want but it's possible to send an input (xaml or else) to PVW and to switch to PGM using the transitions buttons. Both the input in PVW and the overlay channel will go to PGM with no need to use step 2 in your example. Doesn't work if both PVW and PGM are already the same.
