I am a volunteer amateur videographer for the Rivertown Bluegrass Society, a non-profit organization in Conway, SC, USA, that is dedicated to preservation of traditional American Bluegrass music. They host a monthly concert which I have been recording to DVD for their archives, and for the last two years or so, I have also streaming the shows live to YouTube. I use a pretty minimalist, one-man setup that works well with vMix.

Rivertown Bluegrass Setup

Cameras:
Main-Sony 900
Closeups-Sony 260
Point of view: 2 Logitek 920

Capture: Magewell dongles

PC: Sony Vaio laptop i7 2.8 GHz

Audio: Bheringer 1204 (I take a clean feed from the house PA system and add 2 mics of my own for crowd ambiance as well as theme music from an IPod.)

Sator, you did a really nice job. Your audio is fantastic as well. I'm moving to South Carolina this summer, I will have to check this out.

In California I have been doing a slightly different type of music but have done some bluegrass.

Dennis Caplinger is a well known fiddle player.
