Request is for the ability to right click on the vMix call input and choose 'No Video'. There are options to change bitrate, but no option to turn it off if needed.

On a similar request add the ability for the caller to turn off return video.

Thank You

@ Jim_C

Can you elaborate on a use case scenario?
I'm not sure I understand...

Caller can turn off the return video to the host by clicking the camera icon on the bottom of the vmixcall.com browser window. Same process (for now) for an audio only call.

Hey Ice,

We will be (hopefully) using Call from cell phones as added roaming cameras. Not expecting perfect, but more guerrilla style back stage/dressing room stuff. Being able to turn the return video off to the caller would be helpful in cases where bandwidth starts choking.

There is a no video option when you first set up the Call input, makes sense to carry it thru and continue it as an option along with changing bitrates after the fact.

Hi Tom,

Unless I am missing something that turns off the callers camera display (which I guess is it's return video so I may have worded it awkwardly), what I am looking for is for the caller to be able to turn off the vMix's output video feed. To be able to free up that bandwidth.

thanks for the replies.

Hi Jim

some thoughts about it

- for such scenarios, you can start the call with no video return at all. I'm not sure your operator really needs the image, I'd use the audio return only (to be able to talk to the operator)

- if bandwidth gets too low on input to vMix I don't think stopping the return feed will fix anything.
