Simsbury Community TV has been using vMix for almost two years to record and live stream meetings that take place in town hall. Currently there is a single composite input to vMix from an SD video switch.

We have purchased ptzoptics cameras to upgrade the meeting room to HD and are planning on running all three cameras in 720 rtsp mode into vMix. The current PC is a quad core i7-4790 with 4600 graphics. I’ve been doing some reading on the forums and I think that the rtsp decoding is done by the cpu rather than the graphics processor. So my question is whether I need to add a more powerful gpu card to support the three rtsp cameras, recording and streaming. The cameras are primarily focused on one or two sitting people or a person at a podium.

I know very little about decoding and encoding.
