In another switching software (which will remain unnamed) there is an "effect" that I liked to use called "mix". This would allow me to have two inputs one on top of the other in which the transparency of each could be controlled using a slider. In a presentation online viewers like this because they could still see the slide presentation but they could also see the presenter and/or the audience. The feedback was that they felt more like they were present at the actual presentation. I found a way to do this with vMix using MultiView. I created a virtual input of the 2 inputs I wanted to use and changed the Alpha key (under Colour Adjust) on these virtual inputs. Then I added a MultiView input with uisng these two virtual inputs. It works pretty good. The important thing is to make sure that the inputs are layered properly, i.e. the live video is on top of the PowerPoint slide. (see attached pic) I got it to work using Overlay, but it seemed more cumbersome. If anyone has a suggestion on how to do this more efficiently please share. BTW - I will be doing a live broadcast for a local fundraiser and using this on Saturday eve (starting about 6 PM Pacific) Please feel free to view at http://newce.com/dwtp
