Would like to see an option to enable vMix to use External Reference/Blackburst/Genlock etc or at least trigger the I/O device to use the external Ref/BB/Genlock feature on the hardware. This way video can be properly synced to interface with an Broadcast system working in SDI. For example Currently I am using an AJA IO 4K - https://www.aja.com/products/io-4kThere is a REF IN - BNC. And we're Using all BNC I/Os (2 in, 2 out) When Vmix fires, the AJA control panel says VMix is using the AJA device, and the option to choose genlock source is not enabled. it says its set to Internal. Is there a way for Vmix to tell an I/O device to use it's external REF as reference instead of internal genlock. Thank you.

After 8 years, I'd like to bring this topic back to the top.
I'm currently testing the genlock with the AJA Corvid 88 card and the Blackmagic Decklink Quad cards. The reference on both cards is set before vMix starts and is recognized by the measuring devices. However, as soon as vMix starts and takes control of the cards, the genlock immediately switches to freerun, and our measuring devices display continuous line skips.
Depending on the system using the vMix signal, this can cause problems in production, as some important broadcast systems no longer clock incoming signals.
I hope there will be a solution for this in the future.
