I've done the following with the TriCaster 410 and I'm wondering if it's possible with vMix:

Record two camera inputs, plus the program mix, while recording four separate mono audio tracks from wireless receivers. In this case the audio is fed into the four audio inputs on the back panel of the TriCaster. Audio 1a & 1b end up as L/R channels on video input 1 and audio 2a & 2b end up as L/R channels on video input 2. Can vMix accomplish something like this?

Hi DVE

no problem for the cams recordings, but I don't think vMix can record and route 4 independent audio channels as you'd like.

However this feature costs roughly $10000 considering the price difference between TC410 and vMix so maybe it's possible to do it another way.

For example I have a Tascam DR-70 which allows 4 audio inputs (like your wireless receivers) to be recorded separately and mixed down to vMix. With very basic and quick post-production you get the same result and you're still very far away from TC price.

Another solution is to use an audio mixer with integrated multitrack recorder.
Another option is to use embedders before the capture card.

Thanks, Guillaume. I think the audio to SDI embedder is probably the easiest route.
