You'd better ask Apple to support natively WebRTC which is an open standard designed to work out of the box in a compliant browser!

it certainly would be possible - there are already dedicated WebRTC apps from other vendors in the app store for iPad - in particular "appear.in"

http://appear.in is very similar to VMix call - but has its own end-portals which are not 'linked' to the VMix call portal, although technically its doing exactly the same thing. They have a free iPhone / iPad app

The existence of this app illustrates how WebRTC certainly can be implemented on iOS - perhaps using dedicated code rather than within an existing browser framework.

However, it might be difficult to justify such a development for a low cost app for a relatively small market, especially when Apple's actions suggest that the in-development webkit support for WebRTC might roll out to iOS at some point in the future, rendering a custom app obsolete.

On a related note - when the NDI.Cloud free public beta starts, there will also be an NDI.Cloud iPhone 'sender' app which will push the camera from an iphone/ipad as H.264 into the NDI.Cloud network and it will pop-out at the destination as NDI. It wont have the same return feedback as the VMix call interface, since NDI.Cloud is designed for a different target purpose (studio to studio with always-on and controllable quality), but it will provide this sort of base mobile functionality for those who require it. http://ndi.cloud
