I'm wanting to bring a 2nd laptop into my basketball live streaming to handle the streaming and recording while the main laptop handles two USB capture camera inputs and instant replay. However, when I setup my main laptop for NDI output (and/or External 2), I see the NDI output as an input on my 2nd laptop, but I get is a black screen and no audio. I thought it my be a network issue, but if I setup an NDI output from the 2nd laptop, the main laptop sees the 2nd's output.

Can anyone think of a reason why the main laptop is not sending my vMix output to the 2nd via NDI?

Here's a pic of both laptops side by side: https://drive.google.com...LtByvpKzmX2xMTU8zd0Y2czg
The main laptop is on the left, the 2nd on the right

I installed the Newtek NDI Tools and can see my vMix output via the Newtek NDI monitor on my main laptop, but I still don't see anything on my 2nd laptop. When using a Newtek monitor on the 2nd laptop, it sees the vMix output, but when I try to connect, it just says "Connecting".

Could this problem be caused by a firewall setting for my main laptop's output?

OK, this is strange. If I run the Newtek NDI Test Pattern app on my main laptop, I can connect and receive it's output on my 2nd laptop's Newtek NDI Monitor AND vMix apps. So my main laptop's vMix is not producing a good NDI output over the network or my laptop's internal firewall is blocking vMix's output.

Any ideas?

SOLVED... at least for now. On my main laptop (Win8.1), I opened my Network & Sharing Center panel, selected the Advanced Sharing Settings option, dropped the "All Networks" options tab and selected the Media Streaming option to turn Media Streaming "On". Once I did this, my 2nd laptop immediately starting to receive my main laptop's vMix output.

Not sure if this is the fix or a work-around, but it's working.
