just an idea for a feature request: would be nice to have a multi track audio recording of all the the camera inputs used. also the webcams and desktop inputs that have sound.

now you can record a wav track of the mix, but it would be nice to have a master recording of all audio inputs before the mix. this master track can then be used in post as a backup to the mixed recording or to add ambient, or just as a backup.

i now record a master on my cameras. but in case i want to use some alt track I have to load everything from the cameras.

multi track audio is now no problem in post processing.

warning, I don't know much (if any) when it comes to ASIO/DAW. But since ASIO nowadays is supported in vMix.

What if vMix acted as an ASIO sound interface? That is, make all Inputs that contain sound available as ASIO sources. Then that would be available for DAWs, multitrack recorders, you name it. One could perhaps use a DAW in order to obtain audio ducking as requested by kgoodyer.

+1 , I would love to see multitrack audio recording come to vmix! Would start becoming an all in one solution for audio/video recording needs!

+1, but than for all sorts of audio inputs. So instead of MAB which you can already record in the video file, an unimited amount of tracks in wav or mp3 files.
