Hi all..
On average, every 2 hrs of recording I will drop 10-15 frames. Is this acceptable in your opinion, or should I make some efforts to track the cause? The recordings look fine.

what kind of frames are dropped, source or recording?
what kind of capture framerate are you using: progressive or interlaced.
what kind of connection / camera are you using: sdi, hdmi, usb/ webcam.
all these aspects influence the possibility of dropping frames and how normal that would be.
in addition, frames can be dropped after connecting or reconnecting a camera input.
so give some more info so we can analyse the droppings...

10 -15 frames in 2hours is certainly no cause for alarm. Sometimes you can get that just staring up.
