Hi Martin,

Is it possible to add a secondary external output and/or screen to vMix i.c.w. extra overlays? In my situation I use both the screen and the external output functionality. First one for showing the live registrations (via large videowalls) to the audience who are attending a game. Second one for the livestream.

Till now ok, however I want to make some distinction between what people can see on the livestream and what we show on the videowalls. E.g. my electronic time and scoreboard is necessary for the livestream, but not for the videowall, since there is a separate digital one in the stadion. Also for commercials I want to make a distinction.

The main idea is that the general output signal is always the same, but that the overlays can differ. So after a split somewhere there will be two outputs with the possibility to set e.g. overlay 1 and 3 on output 1 and overlay 2, 4 and 5 on output 2.

Actually, I do not necessary need a second external output. A second output screen is enough. So that the user can decide just to show screen one (the current one, connected to the current output) or screen two, the new one, which shows the same output, but wih different selected overlays.

I'll hope its clear. I can imaging it's a large amount of work to create such a feature. But please consider. Probably some other people have some additional ideas or input regarding my request. A total other solution to reach my goal is to make it possible to connect multiple vMix instances to eachother. But that's up to you.

Kind regards, Hanno.

No promises that this is possible, but just so I understand what you require.

Do you need tick boxes for each output (Fullscreen, External Output, Recording etc)
to toggle Overlay 1,2,3,4 on or off depending on the output type?

So if an overlay checkbox is not ticked for a particular output it would be hidden.

Regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,

Your proposal sounds good to me. Would be nice if you can add, lets say, 2 extra overlays, so 6 in total.

Probably, you have also to think what you want show in the main right output. The recording signal, the fullscreen or the streamin signal. Or just the signal before applying/ignoring overlays for the different outputs.

Regards, Hanno.
