How can I select a input for a overlay without putting it in preview?

Either with a kc,or by remote control so I can have say overlay 4 on and just switch inputs? Like the web controller

Go to the settings under General for that input. In the top right corner of the input settings, select the Mouse Click menu and change it from Preview to Overlay 4.
Or, change it from Preview to None. And then program a keyboard shortcut for that specific input to be an Overlay when you press the designated key such as "O" for overlay.
Although I have access to a MIDI board, we've begun using the Keyboard exclusively for a lot of our switching. I use the letters W-watermark overlay graphic, N-lowerthird name overlay, O-for our date stamp overlay.
