Hi. I'm a newbie here, so please go easy on me. :-)

Purchased a vMix GO system a few months back and I am very satisfied with it.
Was wondering why vMix chose to stop selling them, or at least stop listing them on their website.
(I see the reference systems and I'm in the process of creating one as well.)

Also, I'd like to get a vMix mouse pad to showoff when using the system.
Was shocked for the amount of $$$'s the system cost it didn't include one. ;-)

Regards,

@ HowardAtO

Welcome to the forums.
I think the bottom line is that vMix is a software company and wants to focus on that aspect of the business and not get distracted with having an inventory of ever changing hardware and components to satisfy all possible applications of vMix.
That is one of the great things about vMix is that it is so versatile with so many hardware components, it is virtually accessible to anyone and everyone. It allows for hardware improvements and additions as vMixers are able as opposed to being a single turn key solution such as the vMixGo.
In addition to that, many of the resellers are custom computer builders as well, which I am sure makes the vMixGo harder to sell competitively.
Just my thoughts.

Thanks the quick response, Ice - Your thoughts are spot on!

I was thinking the same ... vMix is a great software program first and systems can be tailored to meet specific requirements that are needed.
Still, a bit odd they (Martin, Tim & Co) didn't mention why vMix GO and the controller were discontinued, or maybe they did and I missed the memo.

Guess I'll have to hit up Martin/Tim/vTeam for a cool vMouse pad, unless you have an inside track on this highly functional piece of gear. :-)

Hi!

The vMix Go lives on as the ACME Go! Come check out the new updated ACME Go at our website:

AcmeVideoSolutions.com

We have 3 models with video inputs ranging from 4x SDI + 4x HDMI, to 8x SDI video inputs! We also offer a optional 4K HDMI video input at the expense of the 4x HDMI slots.

Cheers!
