I hope this is the right place to post this.
We are streaming our services to you tube live but the video is always stretched.
We are using 3 Canon sd cameras going through a Roland vr-3 a/v mixer.
The output from the vr-3 into vmix is at 768x576 since we are currently using the free version.
My problem is that the video that streams to you tube live gets stretched. Is there any way to set things up so we have a Square, NTSC style output in you tube live? I don't like the stretched look as it makes everything look squished and fat...

What is your "Output Size" for "vMix Video/Streaming" in Settings -> External Output/NDI?
I assume everything looks fine in vMix itself, just the YouTube Live feed is stretched...

I beleive it is set at the standard 1280x720. I had tried to stream at the same res as the input and you tube live threw a fit and made me change it...

@ daniel6610 I'm not sure what your available options are for the free version of vMix, I thought it was limited to SD resolutions only... To the best of my knowledge, YouTube shouldn't have any issues with SD resolutions, other than it uses a 16:9 frame. Compare your vMix Output Settings and vMix Streaming Settings with YouTube Live's requirements: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2853702There is obviously something amiss somewhere, it's just a matter of figuring out where. I think if you can match YouTube's requirements in those two vMix Settings then what you see in vMix should be what you get in the livestream. Ice

I'm not sure if you have tried to change the output settings...
1. In the top right corner of the vMix interface open the "settings" menu
2. In the Display tab change the value in "Output Aspect Ratio" to Normal
If that doesn't help you can try the other options "Widescreen" or "Anamorphic" but I think the Normal setting is what you want.

Specs from Roland for the VR-3 "Hi-Speed USB: USB Type B, USB-VIDEO, USB-AUDIOResolution: 720 x 480 (29.97fps/Motion-JPEG), Audio: 48kHz/16bit" Try setting it to 720 x 480 and see if that helps. That's what I've used when feeding a VR-3 into vMix.

Thank you so much for the help.
It is streaming correctly now. I had to go in and manually change some resolution settings to get it so everything was at 720x480, but it all works and looks great now.
Maybe in the future we can find some used PTZOptics cameras or something and upgrade our video stream...
