NDI Desktop Capture simply will not run on my remote PC. Desktop Capture for v.16 runs perfectly and I can capture the 3 displays from that remote PC with no problems. I am still using the free version but would like to upgrade so that I can have more inputs and more overlays. Right now I can have 4 inputs total but only 1 overlay. Is version SD 16 still available for purchase?

When you purchase an upgrade, you get a new registration key. When you enter the key, I believe it would not upgrade your version from vMix16 to vMix 17, but from the free version to whatever level you are upgrading to (Basic HD, 4K, etc.). Check with Tom Sinclair at Eastern Shore Broadcasting for more info on upgrades.

You should also think about stepping up to vMix 17, since 18 is not far away from being an official release.

Cannot use version 17 because it uses NDI Desktop Capture. NDI will simply not run on the remote PC. Crashes every time.

I'm sure you can stick with vMix 16 if that what works. I still have it on one of my older laptops. Does what I need it to do.
