Event scheduler is a great feature to be added to VMIX , while you can schedule an over lay to be run at certain date and time , also the duration of it , might be a calendar .
Lets say we need to run an overlay file that says” watch tonight….” We need it to run on Monday @ 3:00 pm , duration of the repetition is lets say till 8:00 pm same day on Monday . then the file event is off .

We will put an animated file that says “watch tonight…blablabla” this file it self is a flash animated file , witch have in and out and self duration .
We can schedule many over lay event for the week, in a certain time and date , also repetition of the event and when its gonna end without affecting any other events ,
If this feature can be added will be a great possibility as an automated CG inside VMIX . with a web interface for scheduling .
Since we successfully using VMIX for 24/7 broadcasting TV station , and we can run facebook and twitter comments live on screen

For people who is asking for how to make Vmix as a playout software , it will not be possible right now for vmix to be a stand alone playout software , since you need a Trimmer and a scheduler for vmix to be able to run as a playout software stand alone with time code and some technical stuff that is needed for a playout software , ability to save and update the playlist on the run , right now we are using xtv suite as a playout software for our 24/7 broadcasting linked to vmix as vmix is the final software to air .


Hope someone can implement an event overlay schedule, maybe a trimmer for the playlist and the ability to have it vmix original plugin , since we are not with the idea to install java script on our playout server .
