hello everybody.

Happy (quite happy) user of an SD vmix on a new windows7 machine.

Now i have to test some input boards on an old (but powerfull) windows xp machine i cannot upgrade to windows7.

To test those boards i plan to use the trial vmix. Check if those cards are good (trident hdmi capture cards) and how they interact with DV/firewire sources (if the delay is noticable or not) and if everything is ok, upgrade the machine to windows 7 or 10 i suppose to upgrade my SD Vmix to the HD one.

But i need an old vmix trial 'cause 17 or 16 are for windows 7 or grater machines....

does anybody have an old demo?

thanks,

Federico

I'm not sure about which version you want. But I do have experience with vMix and firewire/DV and the latency is about 1/2 second. I would worry about the age of the components on the XP machine as well. the transfer speeds may be even lower than what I experienced on my setup.

Why are you stuck on XP? Even if the PC doesn't meet the "requirements" for windows 7 operating system, there are plenty of workarounds to get things running. Performance will suffer though if you can't provide enough RAM.
