We have a problem of getting audio from Vmix through Decklink Duo card. Card is working. I was able to capture and play recorded video and audio from any 2 outputs of this card using BlackMagic utility. I can hear sound from PC speakers. All audio levels are showing good audio level from Decklink 1 capturing, master level, Decklink 2 out.

Here are our setting for External Output:
vMix Video Device - OFF (we are using separate computer for Live streaming);
Decklink Renderer - ON;
System - NTSC 60p;
Output size - 1280x720;
Device - Decklink Video Renderer(2);
Port - SDI;
Audio Device - Direct Sound Decklink(2);
Input Audio Device - vMix Sound;
Audio Format - 48000.

I'm using (for this testing setup) BM SDI - Analog converter to connect HD TV (analog) to Decklink SDI output (2). I tried to check all 16 audio channels embedded in SDI - No sound.
Computer - Dell Precision T7400 Win 7 64.

Thanks.
Alex

Hi Alex,

Those settings look ok. When starting the external output it should add a new mixer to the vMix Audio Mixer.
Do you see the audio meters moving in this mixer?

Thanks,

martin

Yes.
All three audio meters are working (Decklink capture, Master, Decklink).
The only thing - Audio Level Window Header for External output is red while Master and Decklink capture is green. If that means anything.
Thanks.
Alex.

One thing to check is for another output option to select under Audio Device.
Usually it will be called Decklink Audio Render rather than Direct Sound etc.

Hi,

Why not send a screenshot of your setting to Martin to see and know what you are talking about, i guess that will help both better in terms of quick diagnosis.

Rottimmy,

I will post a screenshot with list of all available in my system audio devices when I'll get to that computer after work.

Thanks.
Alex.

Hello Martin,

The ball is now in your court, i guess this will help in solving ALEXK out....LOL!

Well done for taking time out all the time, its not an easy task, coding as well as maintaining the forum...

Should we have experienced users, please lets all come together to helping each other and relieve Martin of certain issues while he focus on making the software a better one.

regards,
Rottimmy

I've got it working.
Video: Decklink Video Render (2)
Audio: Direct Sound: Speakers (Blackmagic Audio) --> NOT Direct Sound: Speakers (2- Blackmagic Audio).

Thanks.
Alex.

Hi Guys, I am doing a trial on the vmix, migrating from wirecrash. I am having issues with the Vmix, External Output, using Decklink Duo, here are my settings:

External renderer
Pal 50i or 25p

Device: Decklink Video render (2)
Port: SDI
Audio Device: Direct Sound:Speaker (2-Blackmagic Audio)

I am outputting on a Atamos Samurai and it is detecting that there is signal coming in, but it is just black. I hope you guys can help. Cheers!
