It would be great if, rather than simply deleting any inputs that fail to load, the user is prompted for the location of the resources (file, camera, etc.) The user would have the option to;

o select a file
o search for the file
o keep resource offline (but keep the input in place and marked as "OFF-LINE.")

Files get moved, shows get transferred to other systems. This is how NLE's and compositors do it and is vital when assembling a complex show with many inputs and cues.
