This may not be the best way to do it, but this is how I have one workstation set up.
I save a .vmix preset that I want to use as the baseline for every boot-time launch, then quit out of the vmix app. To check, I double-click the just-saved preset, and if the file association is correct, vMix launches and loads the preset.
If all is good, I create a shortcut to that preset and move the shortcut into the Startup folder that Windows looks at after booting. Works in Win10pro. Not so sure about other OS installs.

I totally understand what you mean...That would mean that every time I am going to close vMix, I save the setup as a preset, and load a shortcut of that preset into the startup folder....yes, that will work, why did I not think of that......anyhow, I wish that vMix programmers would add that feature, so that I would not have to take that route everytime.
thanks....

For me, I kind of see it as a feature - as long as no one overwrites that preset, I know that every launch will start from a known-good configuration. If I want to make a new starting point, I copy the old preset (as a backup), then overwrite the preset. FWIW.

Create a batch file that says this (Change paths for vmix executable); START "PATH TO VMIX.EXE" timeout 5 > NUL START http://127.0.0.1:8088/api/?function=LastPreset You will have to tweak the delay time to make sure vMix has started completly before you run the LastPreset function And ofc set the correct path to vMix Best regards Sondre Developer @ Njastad Webshop

You have not defined what system you are on, so i can't rly tell. But you need to put this script in the startup folder.
Check if you can find it if you go to; Start -> All programs -> startup
Move the file in here and it should run on boot

@Bandit62, last preset lay in %appdata%\last.vmix So you can make shortcut to this file instead of writing script.
