I'm considering all HDMI palmcorder cameras and HDMI screen capture from separate PC's for my live webcast and wonder what the best capture solution is. I'd like to consume as few PC card slots as possible. Has anyone had any experience with capture cards not currently on the vMix approved/tested list?

ie:

AVerMedia AVerTV HD DVR MTVHDDVRR PCI-Express
StarTech PCI Express HD Video Capture Card 1080p

Are there any multi-HDMI capture cards?

Thanks,

Michael

I don't know of any multi capture cards. I do know that there are a couple other threads here on the forum that people have mentioned that they use the AVerTV HD DVR just fine with vmix. Don't know about the startech.

I read a favorable review of multiple AverTV HD DVR's on Amazon. A couple just landed on my desk today. I'll post my test results here next week.

There is a card from YUAN that seems to perform well. http://www.yuan.com.tw/e...1_1_spec_sc510.htm#sc510

Avermedia has released the Dark Crystal SDK Duo that I am impressed with. I have done initial testing with vMix and all is well.

See some observations on the card here: http://forum.ibroadcastn...K-Duo-(C129)-4-port-card!?p=3856#post3856

Look here for more detail about the card: http://solutions.avermed...ystal-hd-capture-sdk-duo

Hello Mmorlan62

2 weeks ago I replace both of AverMedia PCI acrd for a coupl of AverTV HD
The aver TV HD use the same chip with the AverTv HD DVR, the only difference the AverTv keep a chip that manage the analogic signal
One HDMI input of the AverTV HD works Well in Vmix, is detected and the signal come clearly
But I don't have try in a long time, but for me is OK

We are waiting for a couple of HDMI Camcorder and upgrade with teh AverTV was acceptable in term of money,. This card is not so chip and works well

Rgds

I'm happy to report that both my AverMedia Game Broadcaster HD cards are recognized by vMix. I easily captured an HDMI camcorder and the HDMI third-monitor output of my system's display card.
