Is there any known issue with VMix 17 playing a .MOV file - its very choppy. I have to use a .MOV for transparency because its an opener. But its very choppy and does not play well. The File is only :05.

Try this...

Use vMix Video Tools to convert the .MOV file to an image sequence. Then use the image sequence as a Stinger. Video Tools is a separate program that is installed on your PC when vMix is installed. No extra charge!

Tom so I got that to work I really appreciate the help. Is there a way to add the audio or sound effects file? Also I have never used a stinger. Is that just set as an overlay 5 or 6?

Also if I use this as a stinger. How do I get it to advance to the next item in the playlist while it is playing?

We had this issue ourself!

The problem is usually the bandwidht of the harddrive you are using. Take the size of the file and divide it by the duration in seconds, check it with the speed of your drive.

We had to raid 2 SSDs to get our stigners to work

Best regards
