I am doing install of a new system this week and I have been presented with a challenge. When a recording completes we want to be able to immediately drive off site with a copy of the recording. ThumbDrive, external HD, Bluray, SD card, etc, any way to get it to a new location to be played upon arrival.

It would be really cool if I could pick two locations for "Filename" under recording settings.

I am looking into other ways to do this so please speak up if you have crossed this bridge before, I would really like the help.

Have you considered an external recorder of some sort?

Could you record the stream on the remote PC, VLC may do this.

Or set Vmix to break the record files up every five minutes and dropbox those as you record.
Then make a playlist in VLC.

We did this so an editor could start editing highlight packages while recording and
upload them to our site.

Or u can use a sync program to mirror the record directory to another location....

I was wondering about that. Do you know of one that can sync as the file is created and not have to wait till it completes?

I have done some math on a few higher speed Flash drives and I might be able to copy it fast enough to make it seem instant. I am thinking under 5 minutes would be workable.

Back to your point, yes I like the idea if it is syncing as it is being created.

Would just have to add feature to MultiCorder to record main output to 3 locations at once.

FYI

MultiCorder is an advanced feature found in the 4K and Pro editions of vMix.
It provides the ability to record the raw video and audio from capture inputs to separate files in addition to the main vMix Recording.

MultiCorder has the following minimum system requirements:

Solid State Disk (SSD) for storing recordings.
Intel Core i7 Quad Core processor or higher
High end graphics card with at least 1GB of on board memory

The number of simultaneous recordings and the type of recording formats will depend
on the processing capabilities of the computer.

You can run multiple instances of Vmix. One main recording, and second only for copy recording. Video go via NDI.
To run in multiple instances must set it in advanced option of vmix
