Windows 7 itself being supported is a completely different story however. MS is pushing Win 10 very very hard and Win 7 is next on the chopping block. In a couple years you will see driver updates, service patches and security patches stop, once that happens you run the risk of being on a not so stable of a platform when you do your broadcasts.
I'm just saying, it sounds like you are expecting to set up a system and keep using it until 2020, I would avoid that mindset, Windows 10 has many advantages and I have seen a worthwhile performance boost in every machine I have moved over to it, including a tad more performance with vmix.

@LG
If you really get into streaming with vMix, you will probably buy or build a new system before Microsoft no longer supports Windows 7. I have a system from two years ago that I had built to use with WireCast. I don't use WireCast anymore, and rarely ever use that system.
Too many new capture cards/devices come out, faster CPUs, Thunderbolt 3, and NDI. By 2020 where will hardware be? Where will vMix be? It's a matter of what you can afford at this moment whether it be hardware or an OS.
I use systems with Windows 10, Win 7, and XP (no vMix, just e-mail).

I've been running vMix on Windows 10 for a year. I have Aver Info C127 and BMD Intensity Pro PCIe cards. No issues to speak of.
