@ doggy
WOW! You'll have to fill us all in on everything that is going on there and the challenges you faced. The scoring results seemed instantaneous and very professionally presented, those things can be a nightmare even on big productions if not properly coordinated.
Great job, keep us all posted.

thanks Ice, were do I begin ;-)
problem one, events like this were computer scoring is used have the big drawback that they are all different. only a few are actually instant , if they do you might be lucky to do screengrabs and have another camera pointed at a clock. works but not flexible in nice looking
Here I created a similar software that sends the information directly to vMix in a variety of ways. the clock is generated by the software and is directly connected with the start and finish gates. faults (mistakes) are marked in the software and also directly send to the appropriate title in vMix when a dog finishes the result is instantly calculates and ranking is made and send to a separate file which is also read by one of the titles and animated accordingly when that file changes. the animated display of time to beat and/or ranking result next to the time is based on the value of some of the title (hidden) text inputs. Combination of trigger signals hide or display some of the titles or trigger a script starting and finishing triggers recordings also and have been tested for replays and or sponsor messages
coordination with the organisation is the biggest key (issue) be it without the gates (many event have their own different kind of gates) one could still input the scoring but also would need to manually input the time so would not be so instant but basically have the same end result (except for the running clock)
problem two, one man job , 2 computers ( one for the scoring and one for vMix) need another pair of hands: score faults input and runner selection while manning the camera ( by remote on a mast )
Currently working out the little bugs in the setup hope to have more tomorrow
ps the feed was send also to a building 100m away for watching, thank you NDI :-) internet is by means of satellite but had nothing to do with the lower quality settings of the stream
problem 3 , more grey hair ;-) but fun
